To the Family of Cornerstone Community Kitchen,
I’m not sure where to start, but I just want to express my sincere gratitude.
I was battling more than I ever imagined before I came across Cornerstone.
Each week seemed like an insurmountable mountain. It was too much to handle: the loneliness, the uncertainty, and the growing cost of life.
I was anxious when I first entered Cornerstone Community Kitchen.
However, something inside of me changed the instant I was welcomed with a plate of hot food and a loving smile.
It was about feeling recognized, appreciated, and cared for, not just about the food.
Little acts of kindness, dinners, and discussions have all made a big difference since then.
My family and I have been able to put food on the table when it seemed impossible because of you.
My kids had happy hearts and full bellies when they went to bed because of you.
We were reminded that we are not alone because of you.
I wanted you to know that your efforts, your generosity, and your kindness, make a difference in people’s lives.
Mine was definitely altered.
I appreciate your ability to see the invisible.
I’m grateful that you nourish souls as well as bodies.
