Cornerstone Community Kitchen Turns 3: A Celebration of Love, Community, and Hope 🎉🍽️💛

On the 16th and 17th of August 2025, Cornerstone Community Kitchen marked a beautiful milestone—three years of nourishing hope and serving our community. What began in 2022 as a simple act of kindness has now grown into a thriving hub where meals are shared, dignity is upheld, and compassion is lived out every single week.

Saturday: A Day of Joy and Giving

The celebration began on Saturday with our regular breakfast service, but with a special anniversary touch. Service users enjoyed not only a warm meal but also gift packs filled with essentials and love. The highlight of the morning was the cutting of the anniversary cake, a symbol of the joy and unity we’ve built together. We also extended our care beyond our doors with a mini outreach, reminding the wider community that no one is forgotten.

Sunday: Honoring Our Volunteers and Inviting New Ones

On Sunday, the focus turned to the heartbeat of Cornerstone Community Kitchen—our volunteers. We held a special appreciation session, thanking every volunteer for their dedication, smiles, and tireless service. Without them, our mission simply wouldn’t be possible.

We also used the opportunity to issue a call for new volunteers, inviting more hands and hearts to join us in keeping the vision alive. The turnout was encouraging, and we look forward to welcoming new members into our family of service.

Looking Back, Moving Forward

This anniversary was more than a celebration—it was a reflection of how far we’ve come. Over three years, we’ve not just served meals but built connections, restored dignity, and created a safe place of belonging for many.

As we look ahead, we are filled with gratitude and determination. The work continues, and with the support of our volunteers, donors, and community members, the next chapter will be even brighter.

💛 Here’s to three years of compassion in action—and to many more years of nourishing hope together.
